First we launch the program. Here we can see a simple user interface with a “getting started” screen, as is shown below.

Let’s click the “Add video” button on the top. Here you can locate the 3GP files you wish to convert into MPG format.

Tip: You can select multiple files by clicking with Ctrl button pressed!

When all files are prepared, click OK to continue. Now all files should be listed in the window.

Next we click the “profile” context menu at the bottom. We suppose you are converting this video for general purposes, so we choose “Common Video”-“MPEG-2 Movie (NTSC)(*.mpg)”. Then just click “Start” button at the corner, and the process starts. The converted MPG files will be staying at your “My Documents\Aimersoft Video Converter\Output” folder.

The conversion may take some time, so be patient.

Advanced tips:After you added the files you wish to convert, you can select a file and apply some edits to it. Just click “Edit” button at the top, and the “Video Edit” screen appears.

Here you can decide which parts of the video to reserve, change aspect ratios, fix aliases using brightness, contrast and saturation controls, or add a watermark or a plug-in subtitle. The original video will play along with the edited one for your convenience. When feel everything’s satisfying, click “OK” to save your changes.

If you only need a shorter clip from the original video, press “Clip” button. Here you can make a selection of your desired part. With “Next Frame”, you can precisely locate the start/end position of your clip.

If you have quality requirements for your output video, press “Settings” by the “Profile” menu. You can define how the video and audio should be encoded, and you can split your video into multiple files by size or length.

And finally, if you need to output the videos to a different directory, click “Browse” button by the “output” menu, and locate a folder you wish to use. After that, “Find target” button can quickly open the location for you.
